MiXto®

The MiXto® Laser is a carbon dioxide laser that has been used since the late 1980’s in the aesthetic industry for treatment of conditions such as fine and deep wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, uneven pigmentation and large pores. When the CO2 beam of light comes in contact with the epidermis it heats and vaporizes the skin tissue, instantly removing the superficial layers of the skin, scars and wrinkles while smoothing out the surface of the skin. The skin remodeling occurs with new skin and collagen growth.

About The Procedure

The MiXto® is the latest technology in micro fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing which can be used on most skin types for laser skin treatments. The MiXto® delivers more results in a 30-minute treatment than competitors can accomplish in 3 treatments with less discomfort, downtime and cost. The laser has an algorithm which divides the treatment area into four quadrants, or “fractions”, and skips the beam from quadrant to quadrant so that each strike is separated by the longest possible interval.

During Your Procedure

Patients are given a topical anesthetic and are offered a nerve block (similar to what you receive at the dentist office) to help minimize any discomfort during the laser treatment. Our treatment can last from 15 minutes to an hour (depending on the treatment area – face, neck, chest and hands). The laser has a proprietary algorithm that precisely delivers the laser beam alternatively into four (4) quadrants allowing
maximum tissue cooling time between spots, which creates less pain and a faster recovery. The process is repeated until the entire area is treated.

Price

  • Face $1800
  • Face + Neck $2,200
  • Face + Neck + Chest $2,800
  • Hands $350
  • Lighten & Brighten Treatment, Face $650
Typical downtime is 4-12 days, depending on the depth of the laser treatment. Some treatments are lighter and therefore the recovery time is less. If the treatment is deeper, the recovery time will be longer, up to two weeks.
Results are immediate. During the procedure you can immediately see the skin contract and shrink. The patient will really see the benefits by the time the skin is completely peeled and will continue to see results for up to six months with new collagen regeneration that “plumps” up the skin.
The laser-treated areas have a distinctive redness representing increased blood flow due to the growth of the superficial tissue and collagen. It will gradually fade during the first few days. Inflammation or swelling can last up to 24 hours or longer. The treated skin becomes tan and typically begins to peel by the third or fourth day. Once the peeling begins, your skin will shed and reveal younger, healthier looking skin. If you are prone to cold sores, we require an antiviral prescription before the treatment (such as Acyclovir or Valtrex). The MiXto Laser has been proven safe for the face, neck, chest and hands.
